The Program is divided into two broad sections;
1. Aviation Theory
2. GDS Airfares and Ticketing - Tariff
The program constitutes of the aviation background, world geography, time zones, travel agency and IATA's operations as theoretical learning. The practical section is based on, and constitutes 75% of this course, i.e the GDS Tariff, specifically on Travelport – Galileo. The GDS (Global Distribution System) is a software that serves live inventory, fares and airline schedule, and is a command-based setup that links travel consultants with the airlines. Students are taught from scratch up to the issuance of tickets, covering, fare pricing, all the relevant entries and nitty-gritty's of the software. Once completed, students are professional enough to understand the travel-trade and are eligible to work in any travel agency or airline.

The Course is aimed with a 3 two hours session on the theory section and the remainder 7-8 sessions on tariff-GDS.
SYED MURTAZA MAHDI
Syed holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting & Finance from Institute of Business Management and Masters of Sciences in Air Transport Management from Coventry University, UK. He also holds a distinction in IATA's Foundation EBT Course and a diploma in IATA GDS AirFares and Ticketing Course. Syed brings an experience of more than a decade in the travel-trade industry of Pakistan and is currently working as the Chief Operating Officer at Mahdi Travels, Karachi. Syed has also gained a high repute as a lecturer at Aviation at MPL Training Centre, Karachi where he enjoys teaching and mentoring students in both IATA/UFTAA and Basic and Advance Ticketing Courses.
